Shockingly, no. The only requirement for Florida drivers is to maintain $10,000 in personal injury protection coverage (also known as “PIP”). Many clients are surprised to learn there was no insurance coverage after they sustained injuries in a crash. We help ensure our clients receive the maximum recovery possible.
UM coverage is Uninsured / Underinsured motorist coverage that helps protect Floridians who are injured by drivers who have little to no insurance. Jennifer Lipinski recommends all clients maintain some level of UM coverage to protect themselves and their families in the event a driver harms them without coverage.
